After I saw it, I approached the IMAX theater manager and, before I could speak, he said "let me guess, you hated the sound" Wow, I experienced ear-bleeding sound but only got 10% of the dialog! Admittedly, before I even saw it, I was thinking, oh oh, I've got to concentrate on understanding the McConaughey mumbles" but I had no idea the whole movie would be unintelligible beneath the soundtrack. Oddly, there are a few places (like a clip on Vimeo) that extol the amazing work that was done to create the soundtrack for the flick. Unfortunately, Christopher Nolan stated that he wanted to create a unique experience with that soundtrack and cranked it up. Well, that was a unique idea, alright.
My main regret is that I didn't ask for my money back at the theater. This would be a great way of providing feedback to production companies that throw out disappointing films then brag about their box office. Hitting them in the old pocketbook would make a mark if enough people had the nerve to do it.
As for the rest of the film, the 70mm IMAX theater did it justice. Beautiful graphics, great color, superb effects. The few technical issues were a bit bothersome. But then, if you can believe flying into a black hole and out again are feasible, how could you complain about anything lesser?
The cast was stellar (no pun intended) with the obvious exception of McConaughey. I'm not a fan of his earlier works, mostly because he always found some way of removing his shirt in the movie. But I really enjoyed what he did with the TV series "True Detective" with Woody Harrelson. He even stayed in character while subsequently doing commercials for Lincoln cars. Unfortunately, his drawling mumbles became the pinnacle of annoyance and only added to the mayhem of the soundtrack.

"Interstellar" is a Sci - Fi movie in which we watch a group of explorers who travel through a wormhole in order to save humanity from extinction. Humanity is in danger because earth has been devastated by drought and famine, and humans can not farm and produce anything on it. So the group of the explorers wants to find a new planet for humanity.
I really liked this movie because of the plot which was simply magnificent and the direction which made by Christopher Nolan was equally good. The best thing which I liked from the plot was the theory of relativity and how this can influence people. I also believe that this movie is one of the few in which we can see and observe the actual results of this theory. I liked the interpretation of Anne Hathaway who played as Brand and she was very good at it. But I believe that the best interpretation in this movie belongs to Matthew McConaughey who played as Cooper and he was simply outstanding. Another good interpretation that I have to mention is Michael Caine's who played as Professor Brand.
Finally I have to say that "Interstellar" is a very good movie to watch and I am sure that everyone will enjoy it. I also believe that is one of the best Sci - Fi movies of our days and I strongly recommend it. The thing that makes this movie so special is the combination of Science Fiction and adventure with some dramatic moments of our characters.
